We all have a little artisan inside of us so why not take an evening, have a glass of wine and learn something new. Keep your creativity ALIVE and join our evening Adult Maker classes held twice a month from 6-9 pm at Little Tree Art Studios. We offer a variety of classes to tantalize anyones craft buds. This is a great time to meet neighbors, have time with friends and learn a new craft. Let go of your insecurities and be yourself in this all level Makers night. Join us for this 101 ceramics class to learn basic hand building techniques. We will show you how to make one triangular Geode Air plant holder using Cacious clay, 2 Candle Stick holders using B-mix Clay of your own design and a slab coffee mug with handle options using stoneware with mason stain shapes. This is a fun introductory class for anyone interested in starting ceramics, or just a fun series to try something new!
Join us with artist Nichole Farnum, to learn how to make a rectangular wall hanging. Each guest will receive a wooden loom to work on during class and to take home. Guests will learn how to do a simple tabby weave, Soumak weave, Pile weave and also rya knots and fringe. We will use thick roving wools, cottons, acrylics and alpaca yarns of a variety of textures, thicknesses and colors. Design is up to you!
A beautiful Ukrainian tradition to be used for any Easter or Spring decoration. From plain to beautiful, learn how to draw traditional designs on eggs with wax between dye dips in yellow, red, pink, green, blue and black. The finished eggs (approx 3-5) will be clear coated.
Join us this evening, with artist Nichole Farnum, to make two Indigo Tea Towels and two Throw Pillows inserts included. We will share our Shibori folding and dying methods to achieve deep indigo or one of our other natural dye colors such as Cochineal, a vibrate fuchsia made from the shells of insects found on cacti or Mustard derived from Turmeric. Please wear appropriate clothing.
Join us this evening, with artist Cara Corey, to learn how to make a chunky knit rope basket. Who says you have to knit with yarn? Knit and crochet designer Cara Corey will teach you how to knit a basic garter stitch using giant needles and soft cotton rope. Then you will assemble your knitted swatch into a sturdy basket that is perfect for storing books, craft supplies, toys, or other household items. No knitting experience is required!
This workshop includes a set of knitting needles for you to keep! You will also receive a free link to Cara's rope basket video class on Skillshare to refer back to after the class. A great gifts to give for the holidays!
Join chocolate maker, winemaker and fermentation specialist Sean Taylor from FermentNomad.com as we make organic, single-origin dark chocolate in this hands on workshop. Roasting, grinding, winnowing, molding, and of course, tasting lots of chocolate. We will also have a few flights of red wine to last along with our chocolate!
We will dive into the SCIENCE of chocolate, the ART of chocolate making and the cultural impact of the Cacao plant from 2000 BCE to the present day.
Following ancient techniques and utilizing state-of-the- art chocolate making equipment, we will design our own dark chocolate bars with, sea salt, coffee nibs and other organic flavors and spices. Enjoy some traditional Cacao tea and learn and how to make the best chocolate purchasing decisions, from a health, environmental, and social perspective. Attendees will leave with their two home-made dark chocolate bars, cacao nibs and few truffles for making hot chocolate! We promise you won’t be disappointed!
Join us this evening, with artist Nichole Farnum, to learn how to make a chunky macrame necklace. Guests will learn how to do a variety of macrame knot designs. The completed necklace will then be dip in dyes of choice. Hardware included!
Learn the secret to making your own delicious Kombucha at home. Brewing, bottling, bubbling, and flavoring! Sean Taylor will lead the class through the fundamentals of making a quality home-brewed Kombucha.
Every guest will be provided with a SCOBY, a mason jar and a swing-top Bottle.

Join us, with artist Nichole Farnum, to make a collection of your own handmade gift wrap to use on your holiday gifts this year! Nichole will teach you how to carve your own rubber stamp design, and then how to use it to make repeating prints on beige fabric- Tea Towel Size, a selection of large colored paper as well as brown butcher paper. You will go home with a variety of printed papers and the reusable mounted rubber stamp on a wood block for all your future stamping of holiday cards, throw pillows or even tote bags!
