In this sculpture studio, Little Artists took a look at Alexander Calder’s circus figures which all of his famous works evolved from such as his famous mobiles, jewelry and sculptures. Alexander’s circus figures are free standing figures that he used to perform small circus acts.
Using their own ideas Little Artists bent copper wire and floral wire into 3-D insects, people and monsters using similar techniques like Alexander Calder.

Looking at ways to create interesting lines and curves. And adding buttons, glass beads and cork to give the allusion of eyes and spots or wrapped wire for hair.
Little Artists choose to eliminate the base of their sculptures to allow them to be hung eliminating the needed more stability for a free-standing sculpture.
