This week started the first week of camp at Little Tree Studios. Our week's project was to write a script for a marionette movie using 2 of Eric Joyner's fantasy paintings. Each of the 3 groups had 5 Little Artists to collaborate with in creating the characters, backdrops and props for the movie. The first day we wrote the stories using these paintings.
Group one named their movie, Team Robots and the Eaterbug using these two paintings.
Group two named there movie, Don't Play with Your Food! using these two paintings.
Group three named their movie, Tonut Demple Attack after these two paintings.
The next two days, Little Artists drew their plans for creating their robots and got to work. Recycled items, plaster and soup cans were the materials used in making each robot. Each robot was named and had a part in one of the three movies.
Day three we made our props and movie backgrounds.
Then we spent the rest of our week filming the movie and recording our voiceovers to match the pre-recorded film.
Thats a wrap! Time to eat Dynamo Donuts (Because we like em just like Eric Joyner) and watch our movies!
Special thanks to all the families who donated little pieces of amazing junk, and a huge thank you to all the teachers who guided the little artists through this very busy week. Be sure to congratulate your Little Movie Makers they worked VERY HARD! Learning to move the marionettes, say their voice overs and come up with their parts is a lot to do in 5 days- Way to go Little Artists!!
Here are the links to all the movies-Enjoy!
See You at the Next Summer Camp!
