Giacometti Self Portrait Sculptures

Little Artists learned about the famous artist, Giacometti, and then created a full body sculpture form of themselves with plaster, from a photo taken in studio. The photo was of their  body in movement.  We discussed how to build our bodies and joints in motion to create a realistic figure.  Artists  made a wire armature and build up their form with plaster.  Once the work was dry it was mounted on a stand, and painted with black acrylic paint and a bronze rub so their sculpture looked similar to Giacometti's metal work.     IMG_0822 IMG_0823 IMG_0824    IMG_0736
